1. Why choose freshwater pearls as a gift to your unique self?

You are not a mass-produced replica. Freshwater pearls celebrate individuality. Gifting yourself a pearl is an acknowledgment of your own journey, resilience, and unique beauty. It's a daily reminder of self-love that sits beautifully against your skin.

2. Why choose a pearl necklace as a gift?

A pearl gift is easiest to choose when proportion and daily wear are considered first. A 6–8mm stud, a pendant, or a balanced strand works across many wardrobes. VARI offers freshwater, Akoya, Tahitian, Golden South Sea, and White South Sea cultured pearls in different sizes, colours, grades, and metals. Check the product options for the exact length, clasp, S925 sterling silver, 14K gold, or applicable 18K gold configuration available for that piece.

3. How is this a gift to elevate life quality?

True quality of life and wellbeing is found in the details of everyday rituals. Putting on a piece of beautifully crafted, high-luster pearl jewelry transforms a regular morning into a moment of intention. It brings a touch of "Quiet Luxury" to mundane days, boosting your confidence effortlessly.

4. Pearl Basics: Freshwater vs. Akoya?

In a world obsessed with perfectly round spheres, VARI champions the beautifully unpredictable. While saltwater pearls often strive for geometric perfection, freshwater and baroque pearls are the true canvases of nature.

5. Authenticity & Treatment

VARI products use genuine cultured pearls. Read the pearl type, colour, grade, size, and any known treatment together with the specifications for the selected piece. Natural colour is prioritized where stated; if a treatment or colour enhancement is known and material to the description, it should be disclosed. Laboratory reports are available according to our published certificate policy and depend on pearl type and report availability.

6. How should I care for my VARI pearls?

Cultured pearls are organic gems with relatively soft surfaces and benefit from gentle care.

Last on, first off: Put pearls on after perfume, cosmetics, and hairspray, and remove them before showering, swimming, or exercise.

Gentle wipe: After wear, wipe with a soft, clean, dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive silver-polishing cloths, steam, or ultrasonic cleaners on pearls.

Mindful storage: Store pearls separately from harder jewellery, preferably flat for strands, in a soft breathable pouch or lined compartment. Avoid airtight plastic and prolonged heat or direct sun.

Stringing: Keep pearl strands dry and inspect thread, knots, and clasps periodically. Arrange restringing when the thread stretches, frays, or becomes soiled.

7. What does 925 Sterling silver mean?

S925 sterling silver is an alloy containing 92.5% silver, with the remaining 7.5% typically made up of metals such as copper to improve strength. “925” or “S925” is the common fineness mark. Because pearls are sensitive to chemicals and abrasion, clean the metal gently and avoid rubbing pearl surfaces with silver-polishing products.

8. Can I shower with 925 silver?

Remove pearl jewellery before showering, swimming, exercise, or prolonged contact with water. Soap, chlorine, salt, cosmetics, and moisture can affect the metal, stringing, adhesive, or pearl surface over time. Plain S925 pieces without pearls or delicate components may tolerate incidental water, but drying them promptly is still recommended.

9. How do I know whether a piece of jewellery is genuine sterling silver?

A “925” or “S925” hallmark indicates that a piece is represented as sterling silver and is commonly found inside a ring, on the back of a setting, or near a chain clasp. A hallmark is useful guidance, but it is not proof of authenticity by itself. Metal composition can only be confirmed through appropriate professional testing. VARI product information identifies the metal used for each design.

10. Can silver rust?

Silver does not rust like iron, but sterling silver can tarnish as it reacts with compounds in the air, moisture, cosmetics, and other environmental factors. For pearl-set jewellery, wipe the entire piece gently with a soft dry cloth after wear. If the exposed silver needs additional care, use a non-abrasive silver-polishing cloth only on the metal and keep it away from pearl surfaces, stringing, and adhesive. Contact Client Care when a pearl-set piece needs deeper cleaning.

11.  Silver and nickel allergy

S925 describes silver fineness; it does not by itself certify a finished piece as nickel-free. Alloy composition and findings can vary. Clients with metal sensitivities should contact VARI before ordering to confirm the available metal specification for the selected piece and seek medical advice for known allergies.
